Nikkei Canadajin here and today we are going to explore the longest wooden bridge not only in Japan but in the world and one of the not well known but one of the best places to visit in Japan in 2021
Actually this bridge holds the Guinness World Book of World Records for the longest wooden bridge at 897 meters. So come along with me as I journey across the longest wooden bridge in the world! Also let me know in the comments down below what you think about the world's longest wooden bridge!
I haven’t visited Japan yet, and I don’t know of many sights and attractions, so I was now thrilled to read your article and watch the video.
Thanks for this information about the longest wooden bridge not only in Japan but in the world, and that with its 897 meters it is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. I will definitely remember that.
The walk across the bridge and around was wonderful, thank you for taking us along this path and sharing it in video form. This is a really great idea to present an attraction!
Friendly greeting,
Nina
Thanks for sharing this really interesting information with us.
This looks like a really fun place to visit. The sides are quite low, so care would need to be taken if small children are with you. I think that it is really cool the way it lights up at night and that it is open 24/7.
There is certainly plenty to see and enjoy. A must see if ever in the area.
Glad you enjoyed it. Ah ya, just make sure you watch the little ones carefully and you should be good to go!
It was nice to watch your video. And learn about all these fun facts. I am impressed how a wooden bridge built in 1879 is still standing. I would really like to visit Shimada, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. And take many pictures at the Oi River. I would like to also take pictures at the Guinness Sign that states its inclusion in the Book of Records as the longest standing wooden bridge (897 m) in 1997.
Glad you enjoyed it! Ya, if you have the chance Shimada is a small but awesome city to visit :).
